About Us

Born from a love of culture.

Afrolebensfreude connects people through music, movement and stories from Africa.

About Us

Our Story

It all began with a drum circle in a small senior care home: people who barely spoke anymore started clapping, smiling and telling stories. In that moment it became clear that African rhythms are far more than music.

From this experience Afrolebensfreude grew: a program that brings together culture, movement and connection – for seniors, for children and for everyone who is curious.

Today we work with care homes, daycares, schools, clubs and businesses across Lower Saxony, creating programs that stay in people's memories.
